Matt Anthony is one of New York City’s premiere music producers and mix engineers.
Matt’s career spans over 25 years of producing, engineering and composing music for a colorful mix of clientele. In 2002 Matt opened his studio Engine Sound in midtown Manhattan after working for 10 years as an engineer and sound designer at another of New York’s top studios. In his 19 years at Engine Sound he has worked with artists such as Pat Monahan of Train, Darius Rucker, Shontelle, Shinedown, Halestorm, and several American Idol and The Voice artists to name just a few. The studio also operates as a launch pad for developing new artists and is a host to many of New York’s top multi-platinum writers.
Matt has also maintained a prolific career as a composer and musician, writing songs with many of New York’s top writers and performing in some of the finest venues in the US and London. He has also composed film scores and original music for TV shows such as Scrubs, Cash Cab, Dora the Explorer, Good Morning America, and Martha Stewart, and advertising music for companies like Nike, Maybelline, HBO and McDonalds.
Matt’s continued success as a producer is based not just on his wide range of experience and ability but his passion and dedication to capture and enhance the best in each artist.
